Welcome Wii lovers! It’s a good time to be a Nintendo fan. Now you have to admit you were getting a little nervous there. After the release of the disappointing Game Cube many thought that the gaming giant had lost its way. But rather than concede defeat at the hands Sony and Microsoft the masterminds behind The Super Mario Brothers and The Legend of Zelda went back to the drawing board and once again forged a path as one the top innovators in the gaming industry. Enter the Wii, the little white box that took the gaming world by storm and made video games fun for everyone again. And Nintendo fans everywhere rejoiced.
Some of you might be new to the world of Wii, and some of you may have been with us since the beginning, either way you have come to the right place. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Teen, Action: First Person Shooter, 1 Player

This first-person action-adventure game is the tenth game in the Metroid series and the first Metroid game on the Wii. Controlling Samus Aran with the Wii controls is super smooth and intuitive as players make use of the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk devices. The game stays true to its roots delivering awesome boss battles, involved environmental puzzles, and a solid control scheme, everything you could want for the final entry of the Metroid Prime trilogy.
Mario Kart Wii

An excellent addition to the video game series that invented turtle shell throwing, banana peel dropping kart based racing. Mario Kart Wii features tons of new tracks, a new aerial stunts component, an online game play option, new vehicles (karts and bikes!), and plenty more rock em’ sock em’ action. Be sure to also get the Wii Wheel controllers for the enhanced controlling experience. Great fun for the whole family!
Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess

Released as a launch game for the Wii back in 2006, The Twilight Princess is more than a worthy entry into the Zelda Hall of Fame. The controls have been perfectly adapted to the Wii as players use the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk for a variety of game activities, from fishing to battling on horseback. The Twilight Princess is an epic adventure game. Play as Link as you explore vast 3D environments, grapple mentally with tricky puzzles, and do battle with formidable bosses.
Super Mario Galaxy

Super Mario Galaxy takes you on an adventure across strange planets throughout the galaxy as your favourite action hero plumber, Mario, must yet again give chase to a new menace that has kidnapped the Princess. The game takes full of advantage of the unique features of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk as you perform death defying feats with Mario, who has a few new moves this time out. Make sure to invite a friend along for the ride as the game allows for two player co-operative play. With some old familiar faces and a lot of new ones Super Mario Galaxy is an absolute blast!
The Beatles: Rock Band

The Beatles: Rock Band allows you to experience The Beatles’ musical career as you gig as the Fab Four during their early touring days in Liverpool to the heights of Beatlemania. The game adds a new dimension to the Rock Band experience with three-part vocal harmonies. The Beatles: Rock Band features some previously unreleased voice recordings from John, Paul, George and Ringo and unique Beatle’s instruments controllers.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10
Everyone, Sports: Golf, 1-4 Players

The ultimate golf game for the Wii, period. The addition of the Wii Motion Plus Controls makes for an uncannily realistic swing simulation. The game features 27 courses, numerous game modes, create a player, PGA Tour Season, online head to head play, online tournaments, real-time weather conditions, a unique television broadcast style presentation and much, much more. Even non-golf fans will love it.
Guitar Hero 5

It’s hard to go wrong with any game in the Guitar Hero series, but that didn’t stop the folks at Activision from taking it to the next level. Guitar Hero 5 allows players to combine any set of in-game instruments to make up their band. The game also boasts new game play modes like Party Play and Rockfest and features arguably the most robust soundtrack of the entire series.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

It’s smashing time! Super Smash Bros. Brawl brings some new cast members and the Wii experience to this smashing good series. There are a lot of new features and improvements in Brawl including an extensive single-player mode and plenty of Nintendo references for you to pick up on. Whether you are playing by yourself or with some buddies, Brawl will give you endless hours of beat ‘em up fun.
Okami

The one original game title to make the list, Okami is definitely a worthy entry. A game in the vein of Zelda and Final Fantasy, Okami is a gorgeous action adventure that makes good use of the Wii controls. Play as Okami Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun, as you set out on an epic journey to bring new life a broken world.
Punch-Out!!
Everyone 10+, Sports: Boxing, 1-2 Players

Well it’s been a while but Little Mac is back! With some sweet cartoon style first person boxing, Punch Out!! is one of those games that the Wii was made for. Turn your living room into a boxing ring as you spar with some classic characters from the original version and some new heavy weights to test your might against.
