The Seven Techniques of Astral Projection

The process of astral projection is a natural ability with which everyone is born. In fact, many people actually do it without even being aware of it. Our aim however should be to astral project while we�re physically conscious, thus allowing ourselves to control what your astral body is doing.

While this article is an attempt to help people learn how to astral project using different techniques, you should keep in mind that astral projection is a personal experience so ideally, you need to apply a technique that works best for yourself. Furthermore, we�re taking the liberty of assuming that you are already familiar with the meaning of astral projection.

The primary method of understanding how to astral project, is a straightforward process consisting of five basic steps which can be done while lying down on your bed.

*First – Relax your entire body completely. The best way to do this is to start with your toes and work your way upwards, tensing and then relaxing each part of your body. You’ll become deeply relaxed as you do this and your body may feel extremely heavy � this is perfectly normal.

*Okay, hopefully you will have achieved a state of deep relaxation, so now you need to control your breathing with slow deep breaths by following a method which has proven to be very popular in meditation. Breathe in deep but slowly and allow yourself to actually feel the air moving into you as it makes its way into your lungs. Now breath out slowly, once again paying attention to the air leaving your body. This is the bit many people find hard due to the extreme relaxation which results. Instead, they simply fall asleep which is of course, the last thing you want to be doing. Focusing on the centre of your forehead will in most cases, help you to remain conscious.

*Third � Focus on the relaxed, heavy way your physical body feels. It probably feels like a heavy lump of clay or a slab of stone. Now turn your focus to the way that your astral body feels weightless and able to float free of your physical body. Imagine your astral body drifting upwards from the bed.

*A large percentage of people attempting to astral project claim that in this stage, they see the whole room they�re lying in, in spite of the fact that their eyes are closed. Additionally, in most cases it seems, people claim that there appears to be purple light, or at least, a purple glow filling the room. If you�ve reached this point then the next thing you need to focus on the light fitting in the centre of the ceiling.

*Fifth � Try to visualize pulling this light to your astral body. You’ll feel like you’re floating; this is your astral body floating above your physical body. Just look down and you’ll be able to see your bed with your physical body at rest below.

Once you reach this stage, you have consciously astral projected for the first time. Now you’re ready to astral travel. Here’s another method if the above doesn’t seem to work for you.

You can do this one, known as the Gazing Method, when you’re hitting the hay for night as well. You’ll need an object to focus on: the moon through your window or skylight, a lava lamp, even just a nightlight; whatever can hold your attention.

Gaze at this object and stay focused on it. Eventually, your eyelids will become too heavy to keep open � but if you’ve succeeded you’ll still be able to see this object in front of you. Continue to gaze at it until you feel an urge to stand up. When you do, you’ll see your physical body lying in bed asleep! Don’t be alarmed; this means you’ve succeeded and can begin to astral travel.

If you�re really serious about learning to astral project, you need to understand that these methods aren�t always successful on your first attempt. In all likelihood you may not even be successful with your second or third attempt either but if after that they still don�t work, don�t give up because there are still other techniques so simply try again using a new method.

You see, no matter what methodologies you attempt with astral projection or any new spiritual discipline, it’s your own subconscious mind which is the main obstacle. Your subconscious mind must feel like it’s perfectly alright for the astral body to temporarily depart from the physical body. To this end you can do some affirmations for several minutes every day to re-program the subconscious mind. Remember that all affirmations must be stated in the positive and they cannot be lies. (I.E. do not talk as if you have already astral projected; talk as if you have made the decision to astral project and you know it’s perfectly natural to do so).

Plenty of techniques can help you learn how to astral travel; you’ll find the right one for you with a little practice and possibly some trial and error.

Hypnosis is perhaps the most powerful tool available as it gets you into an ideal state relaxation. Additionally, a really good session will also enable you to grasp and accept the principles of astral projection when you experience it.

New audio technologies called binaural beats can also help you learn to astral project. These specially designed recordings consist of slightly different frequencies played into each ear. The effect of these recordings is to place the listener into the meditative, deeply relaxed state where astral projection comes naturally.

Once again, astral projection is actually not difficult–it’s a natural capability born into you. You just need to use the right tools to get it done, and then you can astrally travel the cosmos!

Solve Problems By Lucid Dreaming

You have heard about people who lucid dream and think it is something you would like to do. That is a good starting point but exactly how do you begin and what are the steps to being a successful lucid dreamer?

So, what is so good about being a lucid dreamer? What would you gain from it? In order to understand the advantages of being aware when you are dreaming, we need to examine what regular sleep actually is.

Why is lucid dreaming different from normal sleep? When you lie down to go to sleep, your eyes close and hopefully you go to sleep. When you wake up you remember dreaming something or you don�t remember anything at all.Kind of strange when you think about it.

We need normal sleep to refresh our minds and bodies, keeping us healthy mentally and physically. What would happen if you could control the time when you are dreaming?

How would you like to control what you do while in your dream? Control the events that happen in it in any way you like. A lucid dreamer is in complete control of their dreams.They are able to enter the spiritual realm of existence far removed from what exists in the physical waking hours.

How can a person achieve this? How do you learn to be a lucid dreamer? DILD refers to a dream initiated lucid dream. You need to realize you are dreaming. In other words, if you are dreaming and know it, you are having a lucid dream.

Another popular method is to have a wake initiated lucid dream (WILD); this is a straight shot from awake to asleep with no lapse in your consciousness. This is usually achieved by purposefully retaining awareness during the hypnagoogic state, which directly precedes sleep.

So how are these types of lucid dreaming induced?

Dream Recall

A simple place to start when you would like to lucid dream is in dream recall. This is where you can remember and perhaps recite your dream in part or in whole. You are very likely to have the same dream more than once in your life and being able to remember them will alert you the next time you have that particular dream.

Keeping a dream journal is the best way to learn this skill. A dream journal is for writing down anything which you can remember about your dreams for future reference. You should do this immediately after waking up; the longer you wait, the harder it will be to recall.

Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams (MILD)

This method was developed by top lucid dreaming researcher Dr. Stephen LaBerge. The idea is to affirm to yourself that you will remember something when you see it in a dream � then when you do, you will realize that you are dreaming and begin to assert control over your dream.

WBTB refers to Wake Back to Bed

In this technique, you sleep and set your alarm for only a few hours from the time that you go to bed. Upon awakening, don’t go right back to sleep � stay awake for about an hour, then go back to bed.

This technique of learning to lucid dream has a sixty percent success rate according to Stephen LaBerge. You have waked up during the dream cycle of your sleep which is referred to as REM. This is like a trigger telling your mind that you want to be aware when you are dreaming.

Cycle Adjustment Technique

Daniel Love came up with this way to accomplish lucid dreaming. Start getting up an hour and a half earlier. After you get used to this, go back to getting up at your usual time. Since you are used to getting up earlier but don�t have to now, your mind is still thinking you are awake, therefore you will be more likely to be aware in your dream.

When you consider all the methods and techniques wake initiated is by far the most intriguing way to enter lucid dreams. What you have to do is manage to keep the brain aware while the rest of you falls asleep. You can enter your dreams much like entering a theater. You go into watch the movie, set down and the light go down, (sleep) dark envelopes you just before the movements on the screen appear.

To get into this correct frame of mind if you will there are a few tricks you can use. Focus seems to be key so try to focus your mind on things like your breathing, counting, perhaps chant or meditate. In a way, you are practicing self-hypnosis. Use this technique when you are not extremely tired, perhaps during a late nap.

First, it was cds and DVD�s now we have devices that will help you lucid dream. Masks and other electronic apparatuses can be used to recognize REM sleep and give you a light buzz or light to make you aware that you are dreaming. If you want to increase, your chances of success use the method that has proven to be the best. Using a set of headphones listen to binaural beats at the right sound frequencies during sleep.

There are also technological innovations which can help to induce lucid dreaming, among them strobe lights and dreaming masks.

However, the most reliable method of all is to listen to binaural sound frequencies (also called binaural beats) on headphones.

This type of sound can alter your brain and bring you to the REM stage of sleep very quickly. This is where your lucid dreaming will occur.

With a combination of self affirmations, self hypnosis and binaural sounds, being a lucid dreamer is something anyone can do successfully.

You Have More Control Over Your Dental Health Than You Might Think

The most common cause of tooth loss in adults is gum disease. It starts off mildly, with plaque building up on your teeth. Plaque that is left on your teeth, if not removed, then begins to irritate the gums. Well, actually, it is the harmful secretions of bacteria living under the plaque that do that.

The most insidious part of this process is when the plaque actually begins to get inside the gums, creating what is called pockets. This cannot be reached by a toothbrush and can barely be reached by floss.  In a manner of speaking, regular oral hygiene may not be enough at some point.  However, an oxygenated mouthwash such as Therabreath may be helpful. 

People at risk for developing gum disease include those who are wearing braces, those who smoke, those with diabetes, those who are pregnant and undergoing hormonal changes and those who have relatives who were affected by this condition as well. Gum disease is an all-too common condition. But what really is the truth behind this condition and how can one prevent it?

While this disease is associated with tooth loss especially when it comes to senior adults, it is by no means a ‘natural part’ of aging. Good dental care and preventive measures can actually help an individual retain healthy gums and a good set of teeth well into old age.

It is not always true that people who have been afflicted with this condition are sloppy when it comes to their dental hygiene habits. In fact, some say that at least 80% of the population are susceptible to gum disease.

So genetic predisposition is one thing to consider instead of the usual regular brushing and flossing when it comes to gum disease. That is why it is important to get a screening so that preventive measures can be taken early on if you have genetic predisposition to gum diseases.

The cosmic ordering service, simply put, is a spiritual manifestation of your goals and dreams. You will ask for, or place an order, for the things you desire from the universe. The subconscious is a powerful thing and it can hold you back from your goals is you let it. It can even prevent you from making positive change which will improve your life!

Really Believe You Can Develop Clairvoyant Powers

The paranormal word ‘clairvoyance’ is one that originated in the French language. In the French language the term ‘clair’ is translated as ‘clear’ and the word ‘voyance’ translates to ‘vision’ and ‘voyant’ means ‘visionary. Therefore, the word ‘clairvoyance’ translates to ‘clear vision’ and a ‘clairvoyant‘ is a person that is a ‘clear visionary.’ It is unfortunate, but this ery literal translation is neither accurate nor helpful.

One thing that further complicates the definition is the fact that the term ‘clairvoyant’ has been used over the years to refer to different things. ‘Clairvoyant’ has gradually been used as a term that applies to an individual that displays various ranges of psychic or paranormal abilities. The definition that accurately sums up what a clairvoyant is a person that is able to know specific thins about a person, location, event, or object with a means other than the five physical sense. In summary, clairvoyance refers to the use of ESP or extra-sensory perception.

Usually clairvoyance involves an individual who has the knowledge of a situation that happens at the moment, but at a distance, out of the range of that individuals physical senses. Cases of individuals (clairvoyants) have been documented with these individuals knowing of situations that have happened in the past or in the future. Some consider clairvoyance to be a form of prophecy or of precognition.

A clairvoyant may receive this knowledge through various channels, but there are six means which are the most common. The most common of all and the one with which clairvoyance is most strongly associated is known as remote viewing. This consists of seeing a person, place or thing beyond the range of their five senses. This could be a vision or a mental image.

Clairaudience is another means by which the clairvoyant may receive information. As the name suggests, in this case this is in the form of sound which they and no one else can hear. Some clairvoyants may even hear the voices of people who are dead; these cases are more properly termed mediumship.

The next form of clairvoyance is known as clairsentience. The clairvoyant is able to gain knowledge through the use of the senses of feeling and touch. In many cases this takes the form of feeling objects that aren’t there. In other instances it more of a vibe or feeling that the clairvoyant receives from specific events, locations, or people.

Clairalience is the fourth type or form. This form, clairalience, involves the sense of smell of the clairvoyant. The knowledge, for example, of the individual (clairvoyant) is gained through the smell of flowers and grass of a meadow, the ordor of blood and gunpowder. An it is unlikely anyone else near them can detect these smells and there is no source for these various scents.

The next and fifth type of clairvoyance is known as clairgustance. In clairgustance a clairvoyant with an empty mouth is able to taste different flavors even though there is no obvious source. These clairvoyants are able to precisely describe the different taste of things from a distance.

Claircognizance is the sixth and the last form of clairvoyance and the most difficult to explain or to define. In this form of clairvoyance the individual has knowledge of a object, location, person or event that is out of their viewing range. They cannot explain where they have gained this knowledge. They just know it. Claircognizance, to some extent, is a catch-all description of clairvoyance.

There have been many documented occurrences of people who are clairvoyant throughout history from different cultures around the globe. Instances of clairvoyance have also been incorporated into some of the world’s most widespread religions.

In Buddhism for example, clairvoyance is considered of the six special senses humans are capable of at advanced levels of meditation. In this case, it refers to being able to feel vibrations put out by other people.

Clairvoyance in Catholicism has been consider a miraculous ability. A disciple of Saint Francis, Saint Claire, had a vision over five hundred years ago. In this vision she witnessed the death of Saint Francis while she was miles away at the time. She was made the Saint of television. The literal meaning of television is seeing over a distance.

There are plenty of people that are skeptical of clairvoyance. It is human nature for people to deny that something exists just because they don’t understand it. Take for example the scientists that not so long ago denied the existence of electricity or magnetism.

We might not quite understand how it works, but this doesn�t mean that clairvoyance should be discounted. Many believe that with the proper training and effort, anyone can develop clairvoyance and other psychic abilities.

We still do not understand how it works, but there is no reason to deny its existence. Its been suggested that all humans were clairvoyant in the past, but have lost their powers for some reason or other. The ability remains dormant, but it is thought that anyone who wants to activate that dormant power, could do so with an effort on their part.

Meditation is a time to make yourself more aware of everything around you. During meditation, you may more easily pick up on the energies that surround you.

You may release any negative energy while meditating. Acknowledge your feelings and then focus on your surroundings and the energy vibrations. Imagine your mind as it was before filling it with knowledge. Now, imagine you are feeling and experiencing everything for the very first time in your life.

Once you have achieved perfect meditation, you may notice that you are much more aware of other people thoughts and feelings. When you have become one with the universe, you can begin to tap into your psychic powers.

Don’t Dismiss Manifestation Without Knowing The Secrets

Have you ever known someone who simply seems to be able to ‘make things happen’ effortlessly? It may just be that that person knows how to tap into his or her power of manifestation. Sound silly? Think again. The fact is, we all have the power of manifestation to some degree, and we all have the ability to tap into our innate abilities and enhance them even further.

There are various websites with suggestions on how to improve the power of manifestation. Some people consider that the foods we eat will influence our intuitive abilities directly. This also applies to our ability to tap into our senses. Others think that the only requirement is that of a heightened sense of awareness.

Keep in mind that brainpower has only been moderately explored and that there are many capabilities that we have not realized concerning the power of the mind. Many times when things occur, we do not realize that our mind has brought them about. However, many people do understand the basics of manifesting abundance.

Let’s say, for example, that you’re sick. You’ve heard the saying, ‘It’s all in your head.’ You may pooh-pooh that idea, but have you ever been sick and been determined to get well by a certain date so that you can attend a particular event? Or, have you been determined to accomplish something, or to attain something, and done so? In that case, focusing on what you really wanted got it for you, didn’t it? These are instances of using manifestation powers to get what you desire, and in fact we have and use this ability regularly. However, we often can’t tap into and use them regularly because our minds are so busy focusing on other things — sometimes, useless things.

Yet we have so much more inside of us if we choose to develop it. We can take the garbage that clogs our minds and remove it and allow our brain to tap into our life. We can turn over our power directly to our senses and develop the idea that our mind can literally control the outcome of many different aspects of our life. We have this power if we want it.

For instance, when we spend the day gaming, we only provide our mind with gaming material. Rather than tapping into our natural abilities, we clog our minds only with gamine information that is of no use for manifesting. Alternatively, when we use our time to read, learn and practice, this information feeds the mind what it needs to help us improve our manifestation skills, since it is all relative to the cause. You are better able to tap into the power of manifestation when you focus on doing so. When you tap into the power more often, you are able to bring about further development.

As you begin this process, remember that it’s not going to happen overnight. It’s going to take time to clear your mind out and tap into your powers of manifestation with focus. So don’t think you failed if what you want to happen doesn’t right away; it takes dedication to get that kind of success, and you may in fact even call it a ‘manifestation lifestyle.’

When you start clearing out all of the debris in your mind, you start making room to feed your brain different focus information. If you choose to numb your mind in front of the TV, you won’t be giving your brain any new focus material. If you choose to start feeding it the information you need to make sure that you can develop your own manifestation power, you will be able to take back your own control.

Take Care Of Your Dental Health…

Gum disease is a condition that seems to plague a good number of people, but most especially those who are advanced in age. It is also said to be a silent killer, spawning certain types of heart disease.

However, the question is, is there even a way to prevent it, given its propensity?  It is said that over thirty million people have this condition. Causes for this range from poor dental hygiene, lack of hydration to other conditions such as diabetes.

What are your treatment options then? Of course, the preventive care would include regular (and proper brushing of teeth) plus flossing. But if you are already afflicted with gum disease, then you may choose from surgical and non-surgical treatments. In either case, it is important to do what you can do keep your own natural teeth – if at all possible.

When it comes to non-surgical treatments, which best follows AAP guidelines stressing that periodontal treatment should be accomplished in the least invasive but most cost-effective manner as well, the most common would be scaling and planing followed by adjunctive therapy.

It is said that after scaling and planning, most patients would not require additional therapy. However, because of its limitations, there may be a need for some patients to undergo surgical treatments.

Surgical treatments would involve pocket reductions procedures, regenerative procedures, crown lengthening and soft tissue grafts. Of course, these could be much more costly but could be a necessary measure in order to prevent the disease from further spreading and branching off into other complications.  Protect yourself from periodontal disease.
