Depression and Anger-two emotions people have difficulty in dealing with

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Depression and anger are both negative emotions.  But they seemingly are still on opposite ends of the spectrum.  One of the emotions can be very visible. While the other emotion is unnoticeable.

As a family therapist San Diego I have seen both emotions. Both need to be seen by an expert if the case is already problematic and causes harm to the patient and other people. These are issues that cannot be left alone and ignored. When you are angry you can hurt other people. If depressed, you can hurt yourself.

So let’s look at the first emotion that is visible, anger. Anger is a dangerous emotion. It is natural and it happens to all of us.But people sometimes release all their pent up anger.  Sometimes it seems uncontrollable. And if you don’t control yourself, it can get the best of you.But those are the times when you need to control it.Anger can cause harm to other people not only physically but also emotionally.  If it gets too much you need to seek some anger management counseling.

The other emotion is depression. It may be unnoticed not like anger where it is very obvious when experienced.Holding in their depression is one of the top reasons. But it will get noticed eventually. The usual sign that someone already need to seek help is when it already becomes noticeable. Why would someone depressed seek professional help?Because harm can be done by a severely depressed person to himself or herself.People hide it that’s why it is or can be dangerous.  If a person gets to the point of severe depression they need professional help such as depression counseling.

When dealing with emotional problems it is hard. Most people undergoing these problems feel like they can overcome it on their own.Or they feel like they can solve their problems on their own.But at that point they need all the help they can get.It is not a problem which they can accept that easily. But if you are dealing with these kinds of emotions which can be dangerous to the patient and others then you have to.

As humans we are blessed with emotions.  We have positive emotions.  But we also have negative emotions. In this article, let us take a closer look at some emotions that can become negative.

Why they are two emotions we need to take a closer look at is because these emotions are ones that may require professional help.We all have gone through joys.We all can go through emotions like sadness.  We also at times experience anger as well. But there will be instances when we have our emotions get the best of us.  This is speaking from experience being a therapist San Diego.

First lets examine the emotion of anger. This is a very dangerous emotion. All people have had the experience of this emotion. But for some people it sometimes gets the best of them. What I mean when I say get the best of them I mean they may get out of control. They can in some instance take their anger and use violence to express it.  That is why it can be dangerous.  I have seen it go too far too many times doing anger management in San Diego. That is the time when you may have to take care of it professionally.Because it has the possibility of harming other people.

The other emotion we may experience is depression.  Doing depression counseling has allowed me to see how this emotion can be dangerous as well. Most of the times this emotion won’t hurt people in a direct way.But this emotion oftentimes causes a person to cause hurt to themselves. There are many reasons for it.  Sometimes it is a chemical imbalance. Those are the times when medicine will be the only form of treatment.Or it might be an event in our lives that cause the depression.  Either way, when someone experiences it they may need help.

As you can see these two emotions need to be under control.  Whether it is anger or depression they both can cause serious damage.Either to people that are around you or yourself.  So if you see somebody experiencing these emotions excessively, they may need counseling.  It is best for everyone.

As people we have been given emotions. We have emotions that are positive.  But we also have negative emotions. In this piece, let’s examine some emotions that can be negative at times.

Why we need to take a look at these two is because they are emotions that could need professional help.  We all experience joys.We all have gone through emotions such as sadness. We have those times when anger can be experienced by us as well. But there will be instances when we have our emotions get the best of us.  This is speaking from experience being a therapist San Diego.

First lets have a look at anger.  This is a very volatile emotion. All people have had the experience of this emotion. But for some people it sometimes gets the best of them. When I am talking about it getting the best of them I am referring to them getting out of control. They often times may take their anger and express it in violent terms. That is the reason why it is so dangerous.  I have seen it go too far too many times doing anger management in San Diego. That is the moment when it must be handled professionally.  Because it can cause damage to other people.

The other emotion we may experience is depression.  Doing depression counseling has allowed me to see how this emotion can be dangerous as well.Often times this type of emotion isn’t going to harm people directly. But this is one of those emotions that can cause harm to one’s self.  There are many causes.  Sometimes it is a chemical imbalance.  That is when it needs to be treated with medicine.Or it might be an event in our lives that cause the depression.Either situation, when there is someone who experiences it, they could need some help.

As you can plainly tell these emotions need to be kept in check.Whehter you are talking about anger or depression, those emotions both can cause serious issues.  Either to those around you or yourself.  So if you see somebody experiencing these emotions excessively, they may need counseling. It is going to be the best for everyone.

How to combat emotional issues today

One of the unique things we experience as humans are emotions. Emotions are very powerful parts of being human.Emotions that we experience like joy, love, anger or even pain. are very strong feelings we experience.  But often times it is because we are so emotional we can get into trouble.

I would like to talk about two very powerful emotions that in a few situations, require professional attention.  They are anger and depression. Two emotions that seem very different from one another can both start some very major problems.  I have seen it first hand as a therapist San Diego.

I say it is a big problem, both of them, because either one can lead to violence. In the problems like anger, it sometimes causes violence to erupt against others. In problems like depression, the violence can end up being directed toward one’s self.

When you are referring to things like anger, it is a very emotionally charged situation.  As mentioned earlier, it is an emotion you need to control.Because as we are well aware of, a few people, when angry, can do some bad things. It does not necessarily need to be physical, it also can come in the form of emotions.  If that is the case you need to address it through anger management San Diego.

Now in reference to depression, it is a dangerous situation in and of itself.  It is dangerous because often times you may never now about it.In others words you could possibly not even know when someone you love is going through depression. When something like that happens, horrible things can come about that weren’t expected.  Things like suicide.  I have seen it happen to often as a depression counselor.

If you feel you are experiencing depression, address it quickly.Because before you realize it, it might have already gone too far.Loved ones of yours could even possibly miss it and not be aware of it.When that occurs it may be too late.  So address it early.  It can be helped.

As you see emotions can be good. But they are known to also cause problems.By learning how to handle issues and problems, emotions can be of benefit. It doesn’t matter if you address it yourself or by another person, just make sure to take care of it.
