Mindpower Defined
Friday, November 6th, 2009It’s pretty amazing to think about: people only use around 10% of their brains daily. What could you do if you were able to access the power of the unused 90% of your brain? It appears that there are many possibilities which are not fully explored by most of us hiding right there and a lot of mind power going unused.
The scientific opinion has long been that those who have psychic abilities and extra sensory perception are able to use these abilities by tapping into those great unused mental reserves. Some seem to have been born with these abilities, while others learn later on in life how to start using this potential mindpower.
The process behind mind power is not well understood, but quantum physics’ latest advances have begun to show us what the link may be between we think and what we actually experience as part of our daily lives.
There have also been many studies that seem to suggest that our minds really do have the power to shape our world more than being shaped by the world around them!
Recently popular films like ‘The Secret’ have explained the theory of the Law of Attraction, so that people are realizing they have the power to change the way they see things simply through the power of their minds; by doing so, they can attract abundance of every kind into their lives.
If you haven’t heard of it before, the Law of Attraction has at its core the assertion that there is a cause-and-effect relationship for everything that happens to us and for everything we do. In other words, what you think about is what you’ll get. By communicating with your subconscious and telling it what you want, you can change what you experience. If you don’t, your subconscious will assume that you want everything to stay ‘as is.’ That is, it stays in a state of homeostasis.
It seems that not only is the subconscious the prime mover behind psychic powers like remote viewing and telepathy, but is also our conduit to the energy of the universe around us.
How do you harness your mind power, then? You communicate with your subconscious mind. Exactly how you do this can be accomplished in a number of different ways.
Repeating affirmations causes them to reach the subconscious and begin altering your behavior to match the affirmation.
So let’s say you need more self esteem. You might say something to the effect of, ‘I have very well-developed self-esteem,’ or, ‘I am very confident.’ Eventually, as you repeat this phrase to yourself often enough, your subconscious mind comes to believe it and corrects your poor self-esteem. You may also use affirmations to change bad habits, so for example, you can say, ‘I eat a healthy diet and enjoy my food,’ to change a propensity to snack on junk food to one where you crave healthy food, for example.
Done consistently and repetitiously, affirmations do indeed work to change the behavior at hand. Affirmations work by communicating directly with your subconscious mind, which ultimately changes what your subconscious mind actually does for you. In short, it ultimately makes you behave and think differently.
Now, let’s take this one stage further. Realize that what you want to change is going to change — and not just any bad habits you want to go away and to be replaced with good ones, but everything you experience as your reality. This is indeed true mind power.
Using visualization:- Visualization is another technique that you can use to develop your mind power. With visualization, you imagine what you want to happen and visualize it in your mind’s eye. Visualize your success and having everything you’ve ever wanted. Do you want a new car? Visualize it. A new house? Visualize it. You can also make a scrapbook of sorts before you visualize, putting into it pictures of things that you want to manifest in your life. The scrapbook can help you focus. Keep visualizing on a consistent basis and the things you want will really appear for you.
You can even visualize yourself using some of your other latent mental abilities. For example, visualize yourself communication with someone else telepathically or being able to use remote viewing. Using your mindpower in this way will help these natural psychic abilities to develop.
There are frequencies which tune your brainwaves to the meditative state where your subconscious mind can be communicated with easily to build mindpower.
Other frequencies help build mindpower by stimulating the energy centers of the human body; the chakras. Some stimulate the ‘third eye’ chakra, which governs psychic abilities.
Every human being already has psychic powers. Normally, these abilities are locked away deep in our subconscious but using the right techniques can develop your mindpower and allow these psychic abilities to surface.
Other brainwave frequencies can help you get into a meditative state very quickly, so that you can communicate directly with your subconscious mind and therefore facilitate developing your mind power.
There are also frequencies designed to stimulate the chakras; these are your body’s energy centers one of the most important chakras is the ‘third eye’ which corresponds to psychic abilities.
However, it needs to be noted that you don’t actually ‘develop’ these powers. Instead, you have them already. Some have thought that humans indeed had this power many thousands of years ago, but it has become repressed and devalued in the years since.
In fact, when we speak of developing mindpower, it might be more accurate to talk about unleashing these powers which lie inside all of us and allowing us to use our full mental potential.
