My in-laws got Dish Net work

You know how much some people dread going to their in-laws house? You know you will have a boring time and the food will not be that great. But you go any way because you love your spouse and you know it is the right thing to do. Well, I was that way.

My in-laws lived about an hour and a half away. I dreaded going. Their TV was very old and there was no cable where they live. Well, one time I went during football season and I knew I was going to miss all my favorite games. I was dreading this trip. But when I got there, a big surprise awaited me. My in-laws had gotten Dish Net work and a new TV! I was so shocked. What had possessed them to give in to a modern convenience and even a luxury? They still had a rotary phone for Pete’s sake! They were very excited to tell us all about their new purchase and their Dish Network. They spent much time giving us all the details. This was good because it also made the time pass quickly! They showed us all the manuals that had come with their new equipment.

I was VERY amazed at how many channels they could get. I was also surprised at the high quality of reception they received especially since they live away from a town and somewhat “out in the country”. We were able to watch all the football games we wanted that day, and we watched a lot. I knew my problems were solved.

Now it is a pleasure to go to my in-laws’ house. I know I will never miss an important show (and I have a lot of important shows). Now I can go to my in-laws’ house without getting bored. We were so pleased with my in-laws’ Dish Network that we got one for our own house. We are so happy with it. We can watch whatever we want. We go crazy during football season because we never miss a game. My husband loves to have friends over and we have convinced several of them to get Dish Network. The only problem is that my husband and I turned into couch potatoes and gained quite a bit of weight. We just loved to watch TV. So we knew something had to be done. Our solution was to find exercise on TV! We bought exercise mats and do our exercise in front of the TV! Problem solved!

Buy Dish Network

After purchasing a new HD television, I was in the market for some HD content, something my cable service provider was lacking. That left me with satellite as my only choice. Because of my experience with the customer service of both Direct TV and Dish Network I was convinced Dish Network was they way to go. My only problem was what package to choose. I went online to the Dish Network packages builder to help me to decide what programming package and equipment I needed, I was asked what type of programming I liked to watch (how many TV’s and whether they were high definition or standard definition, and also if i wanted DVR service or not).
After the questionnaire, it was recommended that I get two single HD tuners and one dual HD tuners (all three DVR’s), and the package that was suggested was Classic Gold 250 plus HD Platinum which is 250 channels with close to 100 HD channels. I added some premium channels and my grand total came to about 99 dollars a month which was a steal compared to what my cable provider was charging for half that programming.
The technician showed up for the install on time. I was a bit concerned about how the installation would go given that two of the boxes would need to be hooked up to a TV tuner card in each computer. The technician had never hooked one up before but was very interested on learning more about it. For his part it was no different than a regular install, just instead of hooking the wires up to the back of a TV, he hooked the same wires to the back of the computer in the TV tuner card. The software for the tuner card i configured myself but the technician hung around to see how it was done in case he ever needed to help a customer with a similar issue in the future. I thought that was pretty cool of him.
Despite the unusual nature of our install it went very quickly and without a problem I have been a Dish Network customer for 6 months now and I have always had a clear picture, and the customer service is very good ! I haven’t regretted my decision to switch to Dish Network, not even once. In fact I am so happy with the service and reception that I just might buy Dish Network Stock, and that’s saying a lot in today’s economy.

A Bad Dish Network Experience

I live in the metro Atlanta area of Georgia. My cable service provider is Comcast. I had been a customer of Comcast for some time. When my family and I bought a new home and were setting up our utilities to move, I contacted Comcast in order to transfer service. The customer service agent inadvertently disconnected our cable a week early, much to the aggravation of my husband, of course. In the previous months before, I had tossed out several circulations of Junk mail sent to my home by DishNetwork. I threw the little flyers out with the rest of the grocery store flyers and Chinese Restaurant menus because we were very please with Comcast up to this point. My husband was so distraught over the thought of no cable for a week that he went to the recycle bin in the front yard to dig the flyer out. At this time we didn’t have internet access or the job would have been much cleaner! After about fifteen long minutes of sorting through all the newspapers, used envelopes, old school work and flyers, he came across a large, rectangle shaped announcement. The colors were bright and bold.

There were promises of hundreds of channels at affordable prices. The little diagrams of HBO, SHOWTIME, and ESPN were splashed across the page, teasingly. He waved it around frantically and said This Is It! I pulled out my glasses, sat down at the table and tried to read what the promotion was all about. No fine print. No hidden fees. Reasonable prices. No equipment rental fees. So I decided to give them a try. It was much better than to listen to the hubby cry all week and actually force the man to read a book! So I dialed the 800 number. I had a hopeful heart, a joyful demeanor, and an anticipated mind. I was on hold for about seventeen minutes before the first agent picked up the line. She was young. She acted as if she did not want to be where ever it was she was at. I asked her to explain some things in direct reference to the publication that was distributed to my home by her company. She acted offended. Almost shocked that I actually did not know all of this already. I assumed she figured everyone on earth had Dish Network already. She was not pleased with having to explain the service. I was put on hold while she got a more senior associate and what do you know. The line was dropped. Hm. I was miffed. I felt tossed out. I felt disregarded. I was so angry. But, I did not give up. I thought, perhaps this girl is having a bad day.

Dish Network actually prides itself on their customer service. I have heard these empty promising commercials before. I swallowed my pride, giving them yet another chance and called back. And much to their credit , my line was answered in thirteen minutes this time. A man named “Antoine” answered. I, once again, explained my situation, asked many questions, inquired about the special. He asked me straight, to the point, How Is Your Credit. I was taken aback. I said, my credit has nothing to do with Dish Network’s service. I almost felt like I had fallen for some kind of scam. He said, If Your Credit Is No Good, Then There Is Nothing I Can Do For You. Click. So, I am still with Comcast.
