Arabic Satellite TV

One of my best friends is Arab and she invited me over to her house the other day and she kept telling me about these awesome channels that they had as part of their DishNet TV package.

She had Arabic Satellite TV, which was so great. I had never seen anything like it. Some of the channels had subtitles for English-speaking individuals. It was fun watching shows in another language. I didn’t realize how many channels she had as part of her Dish Network deal. There were games shows and reality shows. They even had talk shows. It was a little different from the ones in the United States but it was cool. The sports that were on the Arabic Satellite TV were cool. They had very similar games that we have here, but they were a little difficult to understand. They have kids’ shows and educational shows just like they have on regular satellite TV. It was great.

I asked my friend whether it was expensive to get this package, and she said that it was not much more than the regular satellite deals. After I left my friend’s house I wanted to get the same satellite TV programs that she had. I went online to sign up and I was surprised at the cool deals they had available. Now my friend can come over to my house and watch a lot of the same shows, so she feels at home in my house now. She has taught me so much. She is one of my best friends and I feel lucky that she is able to teach me about her culture. I also realize that sport fans are die-hard. They are pretty much the same no matter what part of the world you come from. The patriotism and comradery that I see her father and brothers display is awesome. They are very serious about their sports. They dress up in their team’s colors every time there is a game and I learned that they are not to be disturbed while the game is on.

I love having friends that are different and special. I enjoy watching games and talk shows with my friend and she loves watching all of my crazy reality shows with me. The economy is tight nowadays and I am glad that I was able to catch a good deal, and save a little money. I love watching my favorite TV shows and I love being able to share it with my friends.
