A Better Backyard With Water Gardens
Keeping water gardens in your front and backyard are a popular option these days. They help to improve the landscape and bring nature closer to your home. But, they also attract predators to attack your fish in the water gardens.
There are a number of options you can use to keep predators out of your water garden. One option is for a deep pond, to keep birds and neighbourhood animals from swooping on to your fish. Many birds and animals do not like the idea of swimming in the water, so in a deep pond, your fish can escape predators by going deep, towards the bottom of the pond.
Another option is to grow vegetation like water lilies and other water plants, for the fish to hide. A further option is a motion detector close to the water garden, where water sprinklers and lights turn on, when predators approach your water garden.
These are some of the humane options you can use to keep predators out of your water gardens.
