Low prices on a used car seem to be very popular now-a-days due to the financial crises and the economic conditions it has created.Since the crack in the market this autumn 2008, we have observed an increase in the number of people searching for cheap used cars, even as low as $500. What happens is, people simply lack money because of unemployment, lower wages or whatever reason but most of them have debt that has to be paid down. Thus they are forced to get money fast and if they have a car, they sell it cheap to get the money as fast as possible. And other cash strapped people buy it very cheap. It goes without saying that vehicles at a price like this are not typically this year’s models but cars that you can be pretty sure are functioning properly.

Now I’m gonna show you three sources where you can get good cars dirt cheap.

Government Vehicle Auctions

Government auto auctions are probably the places where you most likely will find dirt cheap cars right now. Even though you may not be able to spot it the very first time you enter a car auction, you can rest asure that you will find a fully functional vehicle for as low as $500 or less pretty fast.

Auto Auction Sites

The simplest and easiest way to get the lowest prices on a used car is probably auto auction websites. It is convenient to buy a car from the comfort of your home. eBay is the biggest and most well known of these sites, however, there are lots of sites that have specialized in various niches such as car auction sites. The top vehicle auction sites are serious and safe; they are updated daily and show you any kind of car auctions all over the country, both auctions you have to attend physically as well as auctions where you can bid on online.

All you have to do is go to the eBay auction site and enter ‘cars’ or ‘autos’ or ‘vehicles’ and the amount you want to spend and within seconds you’ll have a list of cars you can choose from. If you don’t want to use eBay you can just type in ‘cars’ plus the amount, for example ‘for under $600′ and you will get a list of other sites that can offer you vehicles for that price.

Classifieds

Classifieds like Penny Saver, Craigslist and others are also big sources you can approach if you want very cheap vehicles. Starting with classifieds online is easy, convenient and free. Find the cheap used car you want, make an offer to the owner and wait for him or her to agree. When you buy a very cheap car unseen you must be very careful; in many cases the owner will try to cheat you, for example by removing some parts from the vehicle. The best way to prevent such fraud is by having a car bill of sale printable form signed by the seller and yourself. Also ensure that the appropriate terms of contract have been stipulated in it.

Another often overlooked source in this internet age is our local newspapers. There are normally plenty of cheap used car ads in their classifieds. Like I’ve already said: get a bill of sale printable form and sign it both you and the seller. The rules are the same everywhere no matter where you purchase with the lowest prices on a used car.

You can purchase used cars cheap at a dealership. However, if you want to pay the lowest prices on a used car, I highly recommend that you click the last link before you go.

It’s always interesting to know how used car prices are determined and if you can buy certain used cars cheap or not. In these crisis times there are especially two kinds of cars standing out as especially cheap:

- Cars with poor fuel mileage
- Luxury cars and sports cars that functions more as toys than vehicles.

With today’s gas prices and the fact that they still are increasing make it obvious that the demand for poor fuel mileage cars is not so high. In pawnshop all over the country you’ll see plenty of vehicles belonging to the second group we described above. Here you can find anything from customized Sports Cars to modified noisy Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

Here are a couple of models to look at if you want to buy used cars cheap:

Dodge Grand Caravan

This Dodge Grand Caravan minivan’s price two years ago was around $24,000. Today’s trade-in value is around $7,000.

The Jaguar S-Type

This supercharged Jaguar went for around $64,000 in 2007. Two years, after today, you can get if for less than $25,000.

If you are searching for Cheap Used Cars then you should check out these used auto dealers that are among those that can give you the best deals. You will also learn about other sources of great vehicle bargains.

In this article we will take a look at three types of used auto dealers from which you most likely will find the best deals.

Vehicle Auctions

Public auctions that sell seized cars arranged by Government and Police. Cars repossessed by banks, from people who cannot pay their debts. This is probably the best place to do a real bargain. You’ll find these auctions online and all over the country. They have an increasing number of new cars for a very low price.

Vehicle Brokers

Car brokers are used auto dealers that purchase their cars at dealer-only auctions and have a small markup which make them much cheaper than traditional dealerships. But the greatest benefit is that they do all the work for you.

Vehicles Sold By the Owner

In this time of financial crises, you can really make bargains with people who have to sell their cars now. Check out your local newspaper’s classified section or to go online used auto dealers like AutoTrader.com or Cars.com.

Looking for really Cheap Used Cars?

If you are among the many people who are searching for decent but cheap used cars but don’t feel they have knowledge enough to know what to look after, these couple of tips might help you. Check out this video

1 Be Rational not Emotional

When it comes to purchasing cars most of us think with our hearts and not with our brains; and this is true for cheap used cars as well. Every marketer ar and car dealer knows that most people purchase decision is emotionally motivated whether the buyer will admit it or not. In most cases they are even not aware of their real motives. Let the car be inspected by an independent vehicle inspection company and base you purchase decision first and foremost on their report.

2 Keep Notice Of and Check Out Information From the Car’s Registration Document

Check the previous owner and contact this to get the vehicle’s history confirmed. Match owner change dates with the result of an independent inspection. Are there discrepancies? Check service history to do a bit of digging, for example dates and mileages. Does the vehicles service history lack something?

Purchasing cheap used cars that have a decent condition as well require a little detective work, and makes the whole searching process a lot more interesting.

Don’t buy cheap used cars, do a bargain and Save money! Check out these used auto dealers and other sources today.

The process of buying a pre-owned car can be a pretty daunting task, especially for anyone who has no idea what to look for and where to start thee search. Most often, people just want to find cheap used cars but remain to be in great condition, but instead find themselves constantly looking for expensive cars, or inexpensive cars that hardly run anymore. This is because most people really begin with absolutely no clue about what cheap cars are, what to look for, or where to look. Still others may find that they get too focused on car prices that they end up overlooking much more important issues, such as good quality. This leaves them later on with a pre-owned car that requires a huge amount of money to get fixed just so it can be used at all.

The trick to looking for affordable and quality used cars is to find out where to get one. Although looking for one may be easy, not many are well informed of what to look for so they don’t ask questions to avoid looking ignorant in front of a car salesman. This approach should be avoided and instead, do ask the seller for help instead of wandering around not knowing what you’re looking for.

But if you don’t have someone who can help you in used car shopping then getting information from the Internet is also a good idea. You can get information on prices of cars and get their averages depending on the type of car you’re looking for. But if you still have no idea kind of car to get, the Internet can give you some suggestions.

Now that you’ve chosen what kind of car to buy then it’s time to look for the best possible deal you can get. What you’re looking for is an affordable car that does not scrimp on quality and not something in bad condition that you’ll end up spending for repairs. Do take the time to list down some questions to ask the original owner. The kind of information you would like to ask is the car’s history and how much it has gone through. Another important piece of information is the car’s mileage. This serves as a guideline to give you an idea of the car’s condition and this will definitely influence the price of the used car.

By this time, you should be ready to get out there and look for affordable quality used cars and pick the one you’d like to have. There are plenty of places where you can find them. You can either purchase these cars directly from the owner, a local car yard or find cheap used cars being sold over the Internet. Each place has its own pros and cons but either way be ready with your list of questions and make sure to have each of them answered. Do not let any car seller or private owner evade any of the questions on your list. Should some of them remain unanswered then they’re probably hiding something about the car. Don’t allow this happen. But if it cannot be avoided then go to your next car option.
