Exercise For Love Handles – Side Bends Aren’t The Answer

Posted by on 1st September 2009

There’s an awful lot of stuff on the internet that will show you how to get fat off your love handles. The fact is most of it’s crap. Usually setup to try and sell you some expensive equipment or diet pills.

The usual suspect in the exercise for love handles category is the good old side bend. Grab a broom handle and hold it high, then bend from side to side. I wish! Of course, they rarely work.

The fact they won’t work is that targeting one particular area to lose weight from is nigh on impossible. You’ll get a lot of know it alls telling you they do indeed work. Of course they work, but only when they are part of a complete system. Not just targeting one area.

Doing side bends as part of an all round workout will definitely get you success. If your workout is also part of an all round system you could double your results. It’s a simple fact. Burn more energy than you consume to lose weight.

To consume energy simply means to eat food. To burn energy off you simply have to do something that is active. Exercise usually. You can burn energy off (exercise) with any form of activity.

Could be any of these…walking, sex, swimming, jogging or even err … sex again! Any form of exercise is better than no form of exercise. This is the reason people get fat. They eat calorie laden food and do little or no exercise.

You can exercise for your love handles all you want but if you ignore other areas you will simply get nowhere fast. If you are a naturally lazy person (like me) then swimming is probably your best all round exercise. If you can get to a swimming pool you should. It’s gentle and has great benefits for you.

I hate jogging and see no benefit in killing your knees every day. You may need them in later life! I believe the guy who brought us jogging keeled over and died while out jogging. His body being found by two smokers passing by. There’s irony for ya!

If you think it’s time you took your health & weight serious then you can help yourself by getting a good all round system. Not some new fancy fad diet but a solid system that’s proven to work and isn’t too harsh as to turn you off completely. I’ve reviewed the (probably) best five methods out there at this website…

Think you can’t lose weight? Think again!

Retirement Communities – Fun and Enjoyable

Posted by on 1st September 2009

When you think that going into retirement homes might not be a great idea, then you must consider going into a retirement community. The difference between a Retirement home and a retirement community is the size and the fun and enjoyment you get while you’re in there.

Retirement communities have a lot of services to offer for old people aging fifty years old and above. Contrary to retirement homes, retirement communities are not just composed only of one building, but a huge lot with swimming pools, clubhouses, golf courses and a lot of amenities that would surely make retirement the greatest experience when it comes to rewarding oneself after years and years of work and caring for others.

There are a total of three types of retirement communities that one can choose from depending on his or her needs. Active Retirement communities offer less medical attention because the retirees are in healthy condition and do not have any problems with regards to their health. Active retirement communities are situated near hospitals or care centers so as to address any medical needs of their retirees. Supportive Retirement communities have their own medical staff working round the clock to make sure that everyone is in proper condition. There are also retirement communities that are both active and supportive.

Going to a retirement community is indeed enjoyable and fun, not only can you mingle with other people who are also enjoying themselves, but you can also ensure that you are safe from harm while having fun and enjoying the facilities the retirement community offers.
