Losing Fat Without The Frustrations
Posted by on 2nd September 2009
As with a good bulk of the things we do in life, we depend heavily on our ability to see or eyesight as the influential factor in whether or not we believe something. And this is regrettably the case in trying to burn fat too|additionally. What’s the old cliché? A picture is worth a thousand words, correct?
Well, when we fix our eyes onto that photo of that buff man or buxom bombshell on the cover page of the most recent fitness or weight loss merchandise, something happens. We get excited.
Unfortunately, this is something that many in the fitness industry are depending on. They know this and utilize it to their massive gain. The process is easy: put a fantastic looking and in-shape male or young woman on a product and it will sell. They don’t even have to tell you you’ll look like that person – they already know your subconscious will imagine it will happen. When you’re desperate to burn fat, this is an easy game for the fitness manufacturing to play.
And of course a few weeks later if it doesn’t, you may well start to lose optimism and recognize that it’s going to be difficult to keep up with the unrealistic and exceedingly stern guidelines. You do have a life, right? Positively, you want to burn fat, but you’ve got a job, maybe a family, and additional interests in life. Don’t get me wrong, I love a grand fat burning workout, but I know you don’t want to expend every waking hour for the rest of your life working out!
All of this happened to me numerous times over as a young guy. I wasn’t pleased with my weight, desired to burn fat, and was in search of the most efficient way to get slender, muscular, and healthy, but while not spending too much time in the gym, or having to pursue outrageous diet plans for extended periods of time.
After more than 10 years of experimenting on myself, friends, relatives, and complete strangers, I put together some of the buried treasures that I found to work superlative at burning fat and in the shortest amount of time, on myself and the others that I worked with. Now, what led me to do this was an astonishing amount of frustration that I know thousands of others are going through right at this point.
What do you call doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? OK, I’ll answer this one…Insanity! In several ways, the fitness industry is making you crazy in your search to burn fat and get a slender, muscular, and healthy body. Their promises are too good to be real and often they can’t habitually deliver on them. They are over-promising and under-delivering in most cases.
It’s a big psychological game that the fitness industry is playing with us, and it dates back to our childhood. When we were kids, we were all taught in school that we can do anything we wanted to do when we grew up. Your parents may have even told you that you can achieve anything you yearn for if you believe in it strongly enough.I know that mine did.
While this can provide great inspiration in life’s pursuits, it can also be used against you by others, and without you aware. You are largely a result of your genetic makeup. Just as Mini-Me from the Austin Powers movies could in no way play in the NBA, a man like Woody Allen could in no way win a heavyweight bodybuilding competition.
The reality is that these two men can burn fat and get in the finest shape of their life, but our genes are accountable for a large amount of what we end up looking like when in that finest shape. But this isn’t what the fitness industry will normally tell you – they want you believeing that anybody can look like a genetic freak of nature…if you just stick to their regimines, that is.
Please recognize that I am not saying you are hopeless by your genes…everybody can make astounding improvements in their physiques with suitable exercise and nutrition practice. It’s when we begin comparing ourselves to the men or gals in the magazines that we walk into trouble, and get lost in that brutal cycle of build up and sensationalism all too common in fitness and fat burning these days.
As I mentioned before, you’ve got a life. You’re a busy person.all of us are. We live in a fast-paced civilization, the information age, where we have so many responsibilities to accomplish and so little time to finalize them. I don’t know about you, but I find myself trying to shove|stuff everything I accomplish into those small amount of hours between waking up and going to sleep. It is not so easy.
Then comes along the fitness gurus informing you that to burn fat and get in great shape you’ve got to workout on a daily basis or close to it. You’ve got to do aerobics or cardiovascular exercise to burn fat, a number of times a week. You’ve got to weight train a number of other days each week, so that you are actually working out 5-6 days each week, each week. If you want it, you’ve got to do it, they say.
I’m here to tell you that nothing could be further from the truth! Many of these plans will also inform you that you’ve got to follow some wild diet to burn fat. This might include cutting all or the majority of your carbs, consuming loads of supplements or other magic weight loss potions. On top of that, when their programs don’t deliver, they’ll say to you that everyone is different and that you’ve got to discover what works best for you. Wait a minute…weren’t they just telling you that their program promises the body on the cover?
Unfortunately the fitness industry, in lots of ways, has develop into a cycle of propaganda and sensationalism. Of course, there are some good-hearted trainers and professionals out there, but yet some of them are being controlled by the fitness center owners, magazine publishers, and supplement companies. That’s where the money is! Even if they are trying to assist you, they can become inadvertent victims to the mechanism.
They advertise their products, programs, and diets by using the cream of the crop in the genetic gene pool. Hey, if it worked for that guy or women with the marvelous physique, it will work for me. I fell for it, too, many times, until I did some significant research and experimentation as I touched on before.
Because these values won’t sell loads of insane exercise gimmicks, gadgets, or magic potions. Fat Burning Furnace students are schooled in the appropriate application of concise, progressive, and intense resistance training, eating a diet full of nutrient rich foods, ingesting loads of water, and getting lots of quality sleep and rest.
But our subliminal mind is powerful, and you have to watch out…even today, I can get sucked in to a convincing late night TV ad, even though I know better. So you’ve got to stay on guard.
If folks would pay more attention to proven principles like those I teach my students, and spend less time with the latest “butt buster” or “fat stripper” on the market, we’d all be healthier, thinner, stronger, and more content for it. And we’d also be burning a heck of a lot extra fat in the process.
