The reason so many people fail online so quickly is because they don’t get traffic, at least not enough of it.

The problem is, people end up spending money on advertising without making much (if any) profit back, or they simply spend too much time trying to get free traffic and burn themselves out.

Of course, once you’re successful you can pay someone to get you the traffic, but how do we get out of the never ending cycle of trying to get traffic without wasting time and money?

Well, I am going to start with the fundamental tasks that you should focus on first, then we’ll take it from there…

1. Directory submissions.

This can be achieved using automated submission software or can be done by hand. It’s a little dull but will result in lots of back links to your website for better visibility in the search engines. This is pay off as you add more content and back links to your site.

2. Social bookmarking.

This is about submitting links to the major Web 2.0 social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Propeller and Reddit (to name just a few). The great thing is you can use software such as socialmarker.com to make the process far easier. You can also buy inexpensive software to automate the whole process.

The benefit of social bookmarking your content is so that you gain back links from these authority sites (which is essential for being found in the search engines) but also, if you content is worthwhile and interesting, you increase the chances of your submission being passed around other readers really quickly, which can of course result in a lot of traffic to your website.

3. Back links.

Back links are the backbone of getting your pages listed high in the search engines. The more people link to your site naturally (i.e. without being paid or listing your site in some sort of link farm where the site linking to you is junk), then the better your rankings will be in the search engines. Not to mention the direct traffic that will come from the actual links from other sites too.

4. Collaboration.

Most people want to be the “one person wonder” or the sole entrepreneur in their business, which is fine. However, don’t underestimate the sheer power of teaming up with other well established websites directly and offering your content, help or other services in exchange for some exposure to your own website.

The classic “I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine” effect comes into play here and trust me, it works like a charm providing you genuinely approach people to help them first.

There are of course, many other ways to start getting traffic to your site such as writing articles like this one, or getting involved with many of the Web 2.0 properties out there online today. The more social you become with your website at other people’s parties, the more people will come to your party when you come to tell them about it…just like real life isn’t it?

I’ve only scratched the surface of getting heavy volumes of traffic to your website. If you’d like to know more about using the new wave of traffic inducing methods to really get your business off the ground, then check this out: The Secret Affiliate Code

In the last posts, I’ve been talking a lot about Secret Affiliate Code 2 and why it’s a pretty worthwhile investment for beginner marketers who need it all laid out from start to finish…something that you can literally start on page 1 and go right through to the last page and see a thriving business come out of it.

One thing I kept talking about is traffic, but I’ve overlooked something that needs to come before traffic that you might have been asking yourself lately too…

How the HECK do I find something worthwhile to promote as an affiliate?

That’s where success is decided, before you even get your first visitor. I can’t tell you how many times I have created a full blown website, spend weeks trying to get traffic to it and all the other essentials to getting a well paid business up and running…

…only to find out, to my horror, that the whole damn thing was a waste of time…no money being made and nothing to show for all my hard work.

Why so?

Well, it’s simple. I simply picked a topic and a product to promote that was a dead dodo. People weren’t interested and the whole topic was just lacking a buying crowd. If only I had picked a topic where there were hordes of proven buyers ALREADY out there buying particular products that I could start promoting as an affiliate.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to finding out what’s hot and what people are happy to buy in their masses, and ONLY THEN bothering to get in front of it.

Of course, that’s the part of Secret Affiliate Code 2 I forgot to mention and I thought you should know that this is covered in the guide.

So you don’t have to worry about making the same mistakes that I made when starting out, and you can pretty much walk right into a profitable marketplace, set up your stall and start taking cash right from day one.

Now THAT is working smart.

In my last post, I mentioned how you can target lots of smaller keywords which can quickly add up to a ton of traffic from search engines like Google…even if you’re a newbie or totally unknown in your market.

But some people will overlook this because it takes too much work. I can relate to that. After all, some traffic building techniques just don’t suit all of us in the same way.

That’s why I think it’s so important to have the chance to try out multiple ways to get traffic to your site so that:

1. You don’t get bored of hashing out the same traffic building routine and…

2. If one “system” goes down all of a sudden, you’ve got other resources that are quietly working away in the background getting you the traffic you need to survive these tough times as an internet marketer.

That’s another reason why Secret Affiliate Code 2 works so well, because it shows you numerous ways to build a solid and reliable stream of traffic that can pay you for years to come.

And to be honest, it really doesn’t have to be as much hard work as you think. The Secret Affiliate Code even comes with a daily planner so that you can crack on and make sure you don’t spend your days running in the wrong direction or simply wasting time.

And if you can’t commit any time at all, then your only other option is to pay for traffic. If that’s what you’d prefer, then sadly it may come as a surprise to know that running ads online (particularly with Google Adwords) requires the same amount of upfront work as the free techniques found in Secret Affiliate Code 2.

So the ball is in your court, you can work hard and pay for traffic at the same time whilst constantly having to measure your ROI, or you can simply apply the plain and simple techniques for getting free traffic for years to come, all for a one off amount of work.

If that sounds more like your thing, then Secret Affiliate Code 2 is the system that can make that happen for you.

I’ve got a question for you:

How can a small corner shop survive over 30 years through every economic crash yet several major high street retail outlets come and go each year?

I was speaking to a local shop owner in my home town the other day and I asked him how he was going to cope with the economic downturn we’re all currently facing.

He looked at me and smiled…

“I don’t need to worry about that, I own all the business in the area for what I sell”.

To which I replied…

“But how do you compete with all the major retail outlets in the big city?”

He smiled once more and said….

“Well you know what, they are nowhere to be seen around here and most people come to me because it’s more convenient and quicker to get what they want”.

This had me thinking about online marketing. The reason why so many retail stores in the big cities end up folding within a year is because they are back to back with the giants. They simply get overshadowed and die a painful death.

But out of the city, there are still a lot of people around but there’s less competition. Furthermore, these people prefer to just go 5 minutes down the street and get what they want from someone they trust.

Online, YOU can be the small shop owner that is put right in front of hundreds or thousands of people looking for what you’re selling.

How?

It’s simple really; you just need to get your site found for less competitive keywords where there is little competition yet still people searching for what you sell.

It’s easier than you think and when you have lots of little “shops” all stacked up around the block, you’ll soon see how easy it is to get the lion’s share of the business in any market you choose.

So instead of paying for expensive, high competition keywords or trying to stand out in a cluster of competitive giants, why not try a different approach?

That’s what I love about Secret Affiliate Code 2, because you can do all of this and more with pretty much ZERO budget and you’ll quickly find that you are able to survive this so called “economic downturn” by creating your own empire of local shops that people LOVE.

Go dominate Google today with Secret Affiliate Code 2.

If you’ve read my other articles, you’ll already know how to drive large amounts of traffic to your blog through basic SEO practices and through creating outstanding content.

But what’s the use in all of that if you’re never getting any decent money from your blog at the end of the day?

Sure, some people do this for nothing but poops and giggles, but for the enterprising individual that I am sure you are, we must look at ways to add revenue to our blogs to actually turn blogging into a successful business.

Before we do, it’s important to realize that there’s nothing ethically or morally wrong with monetizing your blog. After all, the products you sell or ads you run from your blog will be aimed to help your readers, and it’s their decision to engage in them at the end of the day.

So, let’s look at the various ways to extract some easy money from your blog:

1. Adsense

This is the old classic that still holds true for many bloggers. Because Adsense is so easy to implement into your site, and because the quality of the ads (and relevance) is so high, there’s a lot of potential to get lots of clicks from running this simple script on your site. However, this might not exactly allow you to quit your day job just yet, unless you have a serious amount of traffic coming in to your blog daily.

2. Affiliate programs

There’s no end of products you can promote as an affiliate and in many cases (particularly with digital download sales) you can earn a significant share of the revenue, sometimes up to 100% in a few cases. It’s really just a case of finding a good affiliate network, signing up and picking products to promote that tie in with your blog content. The more you hand pick individual products to promote based on individual posts, the higher your revenue will be. Don’t just slap one product on the sidebar; you need to actively presell the product by talking about it, and the problems it solves.

3. Selling advertising space

Just like making money from Adsense ads on your blog, there needs to be substantial (and targeted) traffic to your blog in order for you to attract media buyers (the people who buy the ad space from your site). Furthermore, advertisers will want to know precise demographics of your average blog readers, such as their age, location and reading habits (how long they stay on your site and what they respond to in terms of your content and other ads). You can get this information by visiting Quantcast.com and using their scripts to gather all of this data from your blog, which you can then present to interested buyers of ad space on your blog.

These are just some of the ways to attract revenue from your site. Each of the above methods does of course require more training in order for you to reach your maximum profit potential and beyond.
